☆ PERSONALITY:

A product of pop culture and media, Kageki is highly impressionable and latches onto whichever interests take him over at the moment. His enthusiasm, coupled with an impulsive and air-headed nature, often leads to terrible life decisions. He is currently fascinated with American culture, and has spent the better majority of his high school career listening to American music, tanning and bleaching his hair blonde, and learning English from movies. _{(see also: Reverse Weeaboo)} He is very open to new experiences, including meeting people, although his energy can be hard to match.

Despite the often negative consequences of his actions, Kageki rarely feels regret, reasoning that holding back and losing opportunities are the only things truly worth regretting. Because of this romanticized philosophy, he is a painfully slow learner of mistakes. _{(see also: YOLO)} His attitude was likely reinforced by his unusually lenient upbringing.

☆ BIOGRAPHY:

Kageki, along with his twin bother and younger sister, was born to a fairly affluent father. Their mother divorced and left the family early on, though that didn't prevent the siblings from living a very comfortable life. Since their father spends months at a time overseas for business, the children were given hired caretakers until the boys became old enough to care for themselves and their sister. Being a rather modern man, their father assumed that the autonomy would help his children mature faster and learn independence. _{(see also: Failed spectacularly)}

Sometime during junior high, Kageki developed a fascination with yankees and school yakuza in media. Though he was never involved in any actual gang activity _{(see also: Wannabe poser)}, he used a huge portion of their monthly spending money on a large, elaborate tattoo. It was the first time his father had ever gotten legitimately pissed at Kageki, though since the man was outside of Japan at the time, little punishment followed. Kageki's America obsession developed midway through high school.

When it was time for entrance exams, Kageki only took the SAT and TOEFL exams while ignoring the Center Test, as he was determined to go to college in America. He ultimately got rejected from all of his targeted schools, and having none in Japan as backup, delayed his academic career by a year. That was the second time his father got pissed at him, and he forced Kageki to spend the following year studying and re-taking his exams, this time including the Center Test.

<sub>Kageki's secondary dream, next to moving to America, is to play in a rock band. He plays a left-handed bass guitar and would have majored in music if his father hadn't confiscated his school applications before they were sent.

He frequently buys American clothing and accessories online, including backpacks, because the messenger bags commonly used by Japanese students are lame.

Kageki's twin brother is Kaato (火渡) and his sister is Maika (舞火). Kaato, being the only straight-laced sibling, resents his name and is trying to get it legally changed. (see also: DQN Names) Ironically Kaato, also being the only studious one, managed to land a scholarship at an American university, so he is currently studying overseas as a business major.
