Gin-Yen was born into a family of rich, Psychic Pokemon trainers. Although he was a prodigy psychic, he disliked training Pokemon and never picked it up. He spent most of his life chasing girls back at his home in Mossdeep City, much to his parents' chagrin. He has a "twin" cousin named Unn-Yen, who is a Psychic Master in training. Last year, Gin flew over to Snowpoint City to visit Unn during the Ultimate Battle Frontier.
After bumming around the Battle Frontier and trolling his poor cousin, Gin returned to Mossdeep City for some well-deserved R&R. He got bored very quickly though, having grown accustomed to the constant excitement of Pokemon tournaments. So, when he found out about the Helios Conference, Gin "borrowed" some Pokemon from Unn, and immediately hopped aboard his trusty, overly-abused Xatu. What adventures await him?
Pokemon:Dumb Bird (Xatu): Originally a rental Pokemon from Mossdeep Gym, it now belongs to Gin as a personal HM whore and buttmonkey. The guy was even thoughtful enough to change its nickname from just plain old "Xatu"!
The Big Bang (Starmie): Was Unn's strongest Pokemon, and is now Gin's main attacker. It seems to be more distressed than ever, having been taken from its original trainer.
Darryl (Bronzong): Also belonged to Unn before being "borrowed" into Gin's team. It seems to be rather relaxed though, despite its current predicament.
